Working in a small company 25 years ago, I learned to make windows, doors and frames the old-fashioned way using closed mortice and tenon joints. I had to remake traditional types of windows and doors, and I learned about the latest innovations in glass and adhesives and how to deal with draught and condensation. By moving to another country, I have come across new approaches to joinery, hand-made latches, catches, Gothic and arched shapes I learned how to steam bend and tackle circular shapes.
