Native hardwoods

September 22, 2010

Piles of native hardwoods stacked up in a barn, woodworm had gone in

After checking the wood i take out what’s still without the worms

They got in most of the Beech, i think they target the easiest wood for them first

Seasoned for 20 years, these 53 pieces of Welsh hardwood- Elm, Oak, Holly, Beech and Yew – come from trees that came down in a big storm in 1987. For me, it’s a real treasure
